Saving, sharing and backups

Your measurements, organised, sent and kept.

My measurements

Every saved measurement has a name, notes, tags and a colour. My measurements sorts them by date, distance, duration, area or name, filters them by type, tag or period, and shows the totals of the selection. All my measurements on a map shows them together.

Sharing

  • Share as image: the map and the figures in one picture.
  • PDF report: an A4 page to scale with the sides, bearings, angles, coordinates and photos.
  • Share summary: the figures as text, for a message.
  • Export…: GPX, KML, KMZ with photos, CSV, GeoJSON, DXF or Shapefile — each format says which software it is for.
  • Share as a file that opens in the app: the measurement and its photos, for someone who has the app.

Using a saved measurement

Measure again on the map reopens its points to correct them; See it in other years shows the plot on earlier satellite images; Follow this track guides you along it on site; Go to point leads you to a marker.

Importing

Import a track, in My measurements, opens a GPX, KML or app file.

Backups

In Settings, My data: Back up my measurements writes everything — measurements, photos and settings — into one file to keep; Restore a backup brings it back. Android's own backup also moves your measurements to a new phone. The same section erases all your data.
