Drawing on the map
Points, corrections, and the tools behind the ⋮ button.
Placing points
Choose Drawn area or Drawn distance. Put the crosshair on a corner and tap +, or tap the map directly. The coordinates of the crosshair are shown under it. Point where I stand places a point at your averaged GPS position.
Each side shows its length; the area appears in the middle of a plot. Tap the figure in the panel to change its unit.
Correcting
- Undo goes back one step at a time, Clear included.
- Drag a point to move it, with a magnifier above your finger.
- Hold your finger on a side to insert a point there.
- Tap a point for its coordinates, to copy them or to delete the point.
- A warning shows when two sides cross.
Your saved measurements under the drawing
Saved plots appear under the drawing; a point placed next to one of their corners snaps onto it. Turn this off with Show my measurements, in the map background sheet.
The tools
The ⋮ button at the top of the map opens the tools, in four groups.
- Add to the drawing
- Add another plot, Add a hole (a pond or a house taken off the area), Circle or pivot sector, Rectangle, Add a plan or a drone photo to trace over.

- Enter measured lengths (sides measured with a tape), Add a point by coordinates (from a GPS or a land deed), Point by distance and bearing.
- Use this measurement
- Quantities (posts, bags or seeds to buy), Compare to a known length, Split the plot into equal or chosen shares, Follow this line on site, Terrain.
- Share
- Share as image, PDF report, Share summary, Export…
Saving
Save asks for a name — after a search, the place comes first — and keeps the result on screen with Share as image, PDF report and Add a tag. The map then starts again from an empty drawing. A drawing not saved yet is restored if the phone closes the app.
To correct a saved plot later, open it and choose Measure again on the map: you can replace the original or save the corrected drawing as a new measurement.
